How could the Rocky Mountains have transformed into the Great Plains?

Answer:

the plate motion that occurred the great plain and Rocky Mountain uplifted igneous rock that formed underground. this rock evantually eroded and it's sediment formed sedimentary rock in the great plains uplift and subduction can expose rock formations to different energy sources, which can transform them.
