B cells produce and secrete antibodies, activating the immune system to destroy the pathogens.

T cells can only recognize viral anti-gens outside the infected cells whereas B cells can recognize the surface antigens of bacteria and viruses.

Helper T cells stimulate B cells to make antibodies and help killer T cells develop.
