Two consecutive numbers if the smallest is 11

Let two consecutive numbers are : x,x+1

Sum of these numbers is -11, then

x+x+1=−11

⇒2x=−11−1=−12

⇒x=−6

and other consecutive number is x+1=−6+1=−5

The answer is -6 and −5
