What is the difference between rotation and revolution? Which one determines the planets length of day and which one determines the length of the year

Answer:

Rotation is when an item or object (specifically the earth) rotates on it's axis.

Revolution is when an item (the earth) orbits or "revolves" around another one (the sun).

The rotation of the earth determines how long a day lasts while the revolution (or orbit) determines how long a year lasts (with all of the season).

Also you don't have to put the ones in the parentheses ()
