Explanation:

The equation y=2x+1 gives u the following information:

The slope is 2/1

The line intercepts 1 on the y axis

First, I would put a point or a dot on (0,1) on the y axis. Then I would then start making 2 points above and below my original point. I would do this by using the sope 2/1. By using my slope I know that (1,3) and (-1,-1). I would then put points on (1,3) and (-1,-1). Finally, I will grab my ruler and draw a line connecting all my points together.

Hope this was not confusing. I tried to make sense lol.
