Initial grading ; For each correct answer : 50 points + 5

New grading ; For each correct answer = 50 + 7 points

The reading coukd be expressed in slope intercept form of an equation as :

Initial grading :

y = 50 + 5x

New grading :

y = 50 + 7x

y = total score ; x = number of correct answers

The change in y per unit change in x which is the slope, is the only difference in the two equations, the intercept (50) stays the same.

Therefore, only the slope changes.
