Eric has another cube with edge lengths of 8 inches each He said the edge

lengths of the second cube are twice the edge lengths of the first cube,
so the volume of the second cube is twice the volume of the first cube.
Do you agree with Eric? Why or why not?

Answer:

nope

Explanation:

Volume of a cube = a^3

1st cube with edge of 8:

V= 8^3

V= 512 cubic inches

2nd cube

V = (2 X 8)^3

V= 4096 cubic inches

If we multiply by 2 the 1st volume it is equal to 1024 cubic inches only, while the volume ogmf the 2nd cube is 4096
