The shape of continents have changed over millions of years due to tectonic plates shifting, erosion from the oceans, and more. The continents used to be much bigger and all formed into one called Pangea. Yeah dude tectonic plates and other forces the continents moved to where they are today, slowly they are becoming smaller due to erosion though.
