It is commenting on how when one is in love with another they must open their heart to let the other in, therefore exposing themselves. Love requires trust in another and trust in oneself’s decisions and gut feelings. So when you are truly madly in love you let go of your inhibitions and pre conceived notions which leaves you vulnerable.
