Because After you chew your food you have to digest it which means it has to go down and not get stuck so then after you digest it your organs have to absorb it

Answer:

digestion breaks down the larger food particles into smaller ones so that they can be absorbed, large pieces can not be absorbed.

Step-by-step explanation:

think of when you are filtering something with a sieve, only the smaller particles pass through the sieve the larger particles remain on top.
