Explain how you can know whether a system of linear equations will have infinitely many solutions.

If the graphs of the linear equations are identical, then there are infinitely many solutions.

If the graphs are not identical, then there are not infinitely many solutions. In this case, there may be either no solutions (lines are parallel but not collinear) or one solution (the lines are not parallel but they intersect).
