Oaklyn wants to sell hamburgers for a school carnival.

She estimates the costs of ingredients for each
hamburger to be $0.75. She plans to sell the
hamburgers for $1.50 each. She knows she won't make
money right away because she also spent $18.00 on
charcoal and other items needed to setup the
hamburger booth.
Write an equation to express the costs of selling
hamburgers.

18 + 1.50x - .75x

you have the 18 dollars for the charcoal, then for every burger she sells she makes 1.50 but for every burger she makes she takes away .75x
