Does Joy Harjo’s role as poet laureate matter? Why or why not? Is inclusivity and representation in art important?

In my opinion it does because she served as the 23rd us poet laureate and she was the first native American to do so, it is so new coming artists don't feel excluded and others can have someone to represent them.
