Mario is making dinner for 8 people. Mario buys 6 containers of soup. Each container is 16 ounces. If everyone gets the same amount of soup, how much soup will each person get?

Each person gets 12 ounces.

Explanation:

If we have 6 containers with 16 ounces in each, in total, we have 96 ounces. (16*6=96)

Now we have to divide the ounces evenly

96/8= 12

Each person gets 12 ounces, to check your work multiply your answer (12) by the amount of people (8) and see if you get you're overall ounces (96)

12*8=96
