⇒ x-4 is the term in this case there for the term (x-4) is squared meaning the term has to multiply itself twice.

=(x-4)(x-4)\\=x(x-4)-4(x-4)\\=x^(2) -4x-4x+16\\=x^(2) -8x+16

If you are still struggling on how to multiply out DM ASAP.
