x=24

1/4x+18=x

First I multiplied both sides of the equation by 4 to get rid of the fraction(multiplication property of equality)

x+72=4x

Then I subtracted x from both sides(subtraction property of equality)

72=3x

After that you divide both sides by 3(division property of equality)

24=x

Finally, you swap 24 and x to get x=24(symmetric property of equality)
