Factor x^2 -2x -35 please

Ok so for factoring you want to take the a*c and it should add up to b
So a is the coefficient in front of x
C is the constant
So you get what factors of -35 adds up to -2
The answer is -7 and 5
Which means you can factor it as (x-7)(x+5)
