Given : the table for different tree companies charge customers a one-time fee as well as an hourly rate for labor.

The equation represents Fall safe is : C = 85x + 100

The equation represents Timber is : C = 95x + 55

So, to find the number of hours to charge the same a mount of job :

85x+100=95x+55

Solve for x :

\begin{gathered} 85x-95x=55-100 \\ -10x=-45 \\ \\ x=(-45)/(-10)=4.5 \end{gathered}

The cost will be : C = 85 * 4.5 + 100 = 482.5

So, the answer is :

Somewhere between 4 and 5 hours , the costs of the companies will be the same cost.

An amount between $440 and $525
