5(z+4)-13=2z+19

first solve the parenthesis

5z+20-13=2z+19

now place the z's on the same side and the numbers on the other side

\begin{gathered} 5z-2z=19+13-20 \\ 3z=12 \\ z=(12)/(3) \\ \\ z=4 \end{gathered}

the value of z is 4
