Am I correct? look below“what is one effect of deforestation?”Deforestation creates a negative impact on the surrounding soil. When essential trees and plants are removed from an area, the soil becomes exposed to certain elements like wind, rainwater, flooding, etc. consequently, creating soil erosion and decreased soil fertility.

The florests are important because give us clean air and water, regulate the climate, are the home of multiple animals and plants, and store carbon. So the consequences mentioned are consistent with physical and biological effects of deforestation. Therefore, the paraghaph is correct.
