15. You take a trip to downtown Boston to walk the Freedom Trail with your family. After you walkthrough the Bunker Hill Memorial, your family decided to take a taxi to a restaurant for dinner. After 1mile, the meter on the taxi says $475. It will cost $6.50 to go 2 miles. The cost varies linearly with thedistance that you have traveled (In other words, there is a constant rate of change). What is the rate of change (slope)? Interpret it in context.

The slope is the rate of change, which means the cost per mile

Since the cost to go 2 miles is $6.50

Then to find the slope divide 6.50 by 2

\begin{gathered} m=(6.50)/(2) \\ m=3.25 \end{gathered}

The slope is 3.25

That means the cost per mile is $3.25
