Find the mean of the data set

so

mean=(10+22+15+12+16)/5

mean=75/5=15

step 2

Find the absolute value of the difference of each value with the mean

15-10=5

22-15=7

15-15=0

15-12=3

16-15=1

step 3

Adds the values and find out the average

so

(5+7+0+3+1)/5

=16/5

=3.2

therefore

the answer is 3.2
