In a direct variation, the values of x and y are related by the next equation,

y = kx

which means that

k = y/x

In this case,

11.25/2.5 = 4.5

22.5/5 = 4.5

67.5/15 = 4.5

78.75/17.5 = 4.5

Then, the equation that relates x and y is

y = 4.5x
