Because The velocity vector is constant in magnitude but changing in direction. For this reason, it can be safely concluded that an object moving in a circle at constant speed is indeed accelerating. It is accelerating because the direction of the velocity vector is changing

Answer:

Because the direction of the velocity vector is changing.

Step-by-step explanation:

Because velocity is a vector quantity (that is, it has both a magnitude, speed, and direction), when a body travels on a circular path, its direction constantly changes, and thus its velocity changes, producing an acceleration.
