When a body moves in a straight line, it is said to be translating or moving in a straight line.

A body is considered to have circular motion if it moves in a circular route.

A periodic motion occurs when a body repeats its path through a certain spot at regular periods of time.

It's worth noting that a circular motion is also a periodic motion if the body follows a circular path at a constant speed.
