Solution

Given

3x - 4y = 9

If we make x the subject of the formula,

adding 4y to both sides,

=> 3x = 9 + 4y

Dividing all through by 3,

=> x = 3 + 4y/3


\Rightarrow x=3+(4y)/(3)
