The scale factor of the triangles is;


\begin{gathered} f=(10)/(14) \\ f=(5)/(7) \end{gathered}

Given that the area of the larger triangle is;


A_1=155ft^2

The area of the smaller triangle would be;


A_2=A_1* f^2

substituting the given values;


\begin{gathered} A_2=155*((5)/(7))^2 \\ A_2=79ft^2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the area of the smaller triangle is;


79ft^2
