Solve the following system of a circle and a parabola: x^2 + y^2 = 9 and 5x^2 - 6y= 18.

(1,897,0)

(2.4, 1.8)

(-2.4, 1.8)

(-1.897,0)

(0,-3)

we have

x^2 + y^2 = 9 ------> equation A

5x^2 - 6y= 18 -----> equation B

Solve the system by graphing

Remember that the solution of tghe system are the intersection point both graphs

so

using a graphing tool

see the attached figure

please wait a minute

the solutions are

(-2.4, 1.8), (2.4, 1.8) and (0,-3)
