You have the following equation:

3x + 4 = 6

In order to determine what inverse operations are required you solve the equation, just as follow:

3x + 4 = 6 subtract 4 both sides

3x = 2 divide between 3 both sides

x = 2/3

As you can notice, the required operations were: subtract and divide
