Solution:
Note that:
T = 5 + N
T + 2 + N + 2 = 69
Substitute the given values into the equation.
T + 2 + N + 2 = 69
=> 5 + N + 2 + N + 2 = 69
=> 2N + 9 = 69
=> 2N = 69 - 9
=> 2N = 60
=> N = 30
=> T = 5 + 30
=> T = 35
Tony is 35 years old.
