What light-boundary interaction do eyeglasses use to correct vision?

At the corner of the eye glasses there are two different media

air and the glass

so due to refraction there is a possibility of vision problem on the either ends of the glasses.

contact lenses resolve this issue.

the answer is refraction and diffraction both
