Given: A rhombus YWZA with XY=7 ft and XA=8 ft.

Since the diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other, therefore

\begin{gathered} YZ=2* XY=2*7=14\text{ ft} \\ AW=2* XA=2*8=16\text{ ft} \end{gathered}

As YZ and AW are the diagonals of this rhombus, its area will be:

\text{Area of rhombus=}\frac{\text{Product of diagonals}}{2}=(14*16)/(2)=112ft^2

Thus, the area of this rhombus is 112 feet squared.
