To remove the decimals in the equation, look at the term that has the most decimal places. In the equation that we have 7.21x - 4.1 = -6.32, the most number of decimal place is 2. Based on the decimal places, the second decimal place is what we call as hundredth place.

Hence, we shall multiply each term by 100.

After multiplying each term by 100, the equation becomes 721x - 410 = -632. As we can see, there are no more decimals in the equation.
