When a base (BOH) disociates in water the following equilibrium takes place:


BOH\rightleftarrows OH^-+B^+

Then the base dissociation constant (Kb) is expressed as:


Kb=([OH^-][B^+])/([BOH])

It is the product of the concentration of the products devided by the concentration of the reactant
