By definition,

sin(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse

From the picture,


\begin{gathered} \sin (\theta)=(31)/(41) \\ \theta=\arcsin ((31)/(41)) \\ \theta=49.12\text{ \degree} \end{gathered}
