What is the range of the function y= 4x + 3 for the domain 3 < x < 8?

The function is:


y=4x+3

To find the range in the domain 3 < x 8 we can replace the values of the extrems to sind it so:

for x = 3


\begin{gathered} y=4(3)+3 \\ y=15 \end{gathered}

for x= 8


\begin{gathered} y=4(8)+3 \\ y=35 \end{gathered}

So the only range between this numbers is:


16\le x\le25
