SOLUTION

We are told to determine the sum of the interior angles of an octagon

An octagon is a polygon that has 8 sides

Sum of interior angles of any polygon is given by the formula

\begin{gathered} S=180(n-2) \\ \\ \text{Where S is the sum of the interior angles } \\ n\text{ is the number of sides } \end{gathered}

So from

\begin{gathered} S=180(n-2) \\ S=180(8-2) \\ S=180(6) \\ S=180*6 \\ S=1080\text{ } \end{gathered}
