In order to find the limit, we need to replace the value of x inside the function for 2.

\begin{gathered} \lim _(x\to2)(x^3-2x^2+3)/(x-1) \\ \text{then,} \\ \lim _(x\to2)((2)^3-2(2)^2+3)/(2-1) \\ \lim _(x\to2)(8-8+3)/(1) \\ \lim _(x\to2)3 \\ \lim _(x\to2)(x^3-2x^2+3)/(x-1)=3 \end{gathered}
