The greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere are the result of many processes occurring on the Earth surface, most of them produced by human industrial activity (e.g. nuclear energy, automotive industry, and cattle raising), and a few others with a natural origin (e.g. volcanic activity).

The rising concentration in these pollutant gases, like carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), water steam (H2O), nitrous oxide (N2O), methane (CH4), and ozone (O3), results in the rising in Earth's surface temperature, since the incident sun rays reaching the planet cannot get out again by reflection due to these gases molecules obstructing the way.

Having this in mind, we have to consider that since the ideal concentration of these gases above the Earth's surface, life could originate once, due to these also blocking a great part of the sun radiation, making an ideal environment for balance and stability of the life molecules, like nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids.
