Points A, B, C and D are not necessarily all collinear.Find: Which one point is between which other two?

Solution

We know that AD=5 so then that represent the maximum distance between any pair of two points analyzed for this case

And we can discard A and D as the point of interest for this case. So then the possible options for the answer are B or C

We can see that the distance BD>BC and BD> CD so then with this reasoning the midpoint needs to be C
