How do the nervous and muscular systems interact?

Your skeletal (voluntary) muscles are activated by a signal from your neurological system, which includes your brain and nerves. The message causes the fibers in your muscles to contract (tend to tighten). The tendon is pulled when the muscle contracts or constricts. Muscles and bones are joined by tendon.

Answer:

Your nervous system (brain and nerves) sends a message to activate your skeletal (voluntary) muscles. Your muscle fibers contract (tense up) in response to the message. When the muscle activates or bunches up, it pulls on the tendon. Tendons attach muscles to bones.
