For a parallel condition, the slope of the required equation of line is the same as the slope of y = x +3

The slope = 1

By formula, the equation of a line is given by;

y-y_1=slope(x-x_1)
\begin{gathered} y--5=1(x--2) \\ y+5=x+2 \\ y=x+2-5 \\ y=x-3 \end{gathered}
