P = 5x+30

S=80

and S+P=140

then:


\begin{gathered} S+P=140 \\ 80+5x+30=140 \\ 110+5x=140 \\ 110+5x-110=140-110 \\ 5x=30 \\ (5x)/(5)=(30)/(5) \\ x=6 \end{gathered}
