Bill is on his way home in his car. He has driving 20 miles so far, which is four-fifths of the way home. What is the total length of his drive?

To answer this questions we can use the rule of three:


\begin{gathered} 20\rightarrow(4)/(5) \\ x\rightarrow1 \end{gathered}

Then:


\begin{gathered} x=(1\cdot20)/((4)/(5)) \\ =(20)/((4)/(5)) \\ =(5\cdot20)/(4) \\ =(100)/(4) \\ =25 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the total lenght of the dirve is 25 miles.
