Using Cavaliers principle explain why these two stacks of cd's have the same volume

Cavalieri's principle states that if two solids of equal height have equal cross-sectional areas at every level parallel to the respective bases, then the two solids have equal volume.

Since the cd's have the same volume, then the product of their height and cross-sectional areas

are the same

since V = A x H

where V is volume

A is the cross-sectional area

H is height
