the total surface area of the triangular prism is equal to the area of its two triangular faces plus the area of its three rectangular faces

so

SA=2[(1/2)(26)(6)]+(26)(12)+(12)(24)+(12)(10)

SA=156+312+288+120

SA=876 in^2

surface area is 876 square inches
