The domain is the set of all input values that the function f takes.

Here, the input values are all the x values for whcih f is defined.

From the graph notice that, the x values that the function f takes are from x=-4 to x=-2, and from x=-1 to x=3.

So, the domain is


(-4,-2)\cup(-1,3)

The range is set of all ouput values.

Here the output values are all y-values.

From the graph notice that, the y values are from -3 to 5.

So, the range is


(-3,5)
