In your own words, explain the relationship between the graph of a function and the graph of function's derivative.

Answer:

The derivative of a function in a point is the slope of the graph in that point, so the graph of the function's derivative shows the slope of the function at any point. It is useful because we can say if the function is increasing or decreasing using the graph of the function's derivative. Where the derivative is positive, the graph of the function is increasing and when the derivative is negative, the graph of the function is decreasing.
