Total possible students is 39

The formula for probability is given below as,

\text{Probability}=\frac{\operatorname{Re}quired\text{ outcome}}{\text{Possible outcome}}

Probability of "Dual-enrolled" is given below as,

P(\text{Dual enrolled)=}(20)/(39)

Probability of "Not Dual-enrolled" is given below as,

P(\text{Not Dual-enrolled)=}(19)/(39)

Probability that both students are dual enrolled if selected without replacement will be,

P(\text{Both are Dual-enrolled)=}(20)/(39)*(19)/(38)=(10)/(39)

Probability that 1st is Dual-enrolled and the second is Not dual-enrolled if selected without replacement will be,

P(1st\text{ student is Dual-enrolled and 2nd is Not)}=(20)/(39)*(19)/(38)=(10)/(39)

Hence, P(Both are Dual-enrolled) = 10/39

P(1st Dual-enrolled and 2nd Not dual-enrolled) = 10/39
