The givenn equation can be written as

\begin{gathered} 7x-y=3 \\ On\text{ substituting (1,4) in the left hand side of the equation we get:-} \\ 7-4=3 \\ \text{which is equal to RHS} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{Now substitute (-1,-4) in LHS of the equation} \\ -7+4=-3 \\ \text{which is not equal to RHS.} \end{gathered}

Hence only (1,4) satisfies the given equation.

So the correct option is the first one (1,4).
